I've tried changing the resolution, changing the compatability, and downloading the patch, but none of its working. However, it may be more stable to go into the ADB folder inside the Cacher folder, open EnUs folder, and delete the pathnode.adb file.
Do not try and short cut to it by pressing Windows+G, go directly to the app. I get a time lapse symbol on my mouse cursor for a few seconds, then nothing. Sound Tab 2: No problems found. This only happens on the first log in, switching to other characters does not have this issue.

We've seen some users "fix" this by uninstalling and reinstalling the game which also deletes the *.idx files.

This does work (running windows 7 64 bit with HDTV monitor).
On the other, my entire UI was reset. Something changed something on Blizzard's end, which is why I/we can log into any characters the "first" time on the computer (or after deleting cache). If this helps please rep.
