I can get automatic updates (little yellow shield in the system tray) to work after using Microsoft Fix It in KB 971058, but still can't access the web site. I keep getting to dead ends with this and I dont feel like im getting any where. Don't know why.. My test machine is now being seen by the WSUS server but it will not sync. Sometimes the only way to obtain vital updates for the software is through Windows Update.

- But if another one comes in with a similar issue and the hosts file fix it doesn't work, I will definitely try your Background Intelligent Transfer Service.
