If its 2005 then its the version problem . I'm getting very frustrated since I can't possibly think of a solution to this, and I was hoping that someone might put me on the right path. Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory Now the pages that had the "Server Error in '/' Application" message just have a 404 not found message.

and more important : you must check your database server if it's working on sql 2005 server or not.
