You might want to bump this up Monday - the forum GMs are on mid morning until early evening.
When you install directx in its entirety from the website then all the libraries from MS are included, including old ones. If you have a nvidia graphics card I suggest going into your device manager, finding the card, and updating your graphics drivers from there. Updating video drivers did work for me, even though everything was working fine pre-maintenance and I was running drivers that I last updated late July.
