Nonetheless the software should be able to automatically switch to a passive connection which it currently most definitely does not do.
This is the only thing that forces me to use FileZilla (whose interface I don't like) parallely to WinSCP. The choice is entirely with the client. By how much? There everything gets explained.
However, the problem was *only* with remote servers run on Microsoft Windows and was dated to a server upgrade ~3.5 years ago.
